Playing some slow blues with myself…you can probably hear the Jimmy influence because of the mistakes and sloppiness…still one of my favorite random jams I recorded though…one take and sink or swim :)

Yourself To Fill
This was the band I was in before Verge of Bliss about 8 years ago. This is a psychedelic rock track and I remember staying up until about six in the morning doing at least twenty takes on the guitar track and then trying work on overdubs and whatnot.
The next day I went back and listened to the second take and it was the best I’d played, so that is what you hear.
I learned that if I have to do more than four takes on something, I should probably move on because it isn’t capturing the moment anymore. I could always come back the next day if it wasn’t up to snuff.

I started this blog to post music ideas and all things VoB….if you want to follow the official band blog, well here you go.
This is an acoustic idea in open tuning…you can hear Virginia doing vocal warmups in the background :)
Our next show is Monday June 13th at The Five Spot in Atlanta.
The cool thing about this show is that it will be broadcast live on Dirty South TV as a part of The Five Spot Sessions.
We are scheduled to go on at 8:30 EST and will play a 45 minute set, and then the band will be interviewed afterward. DSTV has the technology in place so it should sound and look good for a live streaming show on the web.
If you are in the Atlanta area we would love to have you as a part of the audience, and if not you can watch the show from the comfort of your computer.
